Michael E. Phillips

So I have been part of this organization called Soldier Portraits for quite awhile.
To see the site CLICK HERE

"Portrait artists offering no charge original portraits of military who gave their lives in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Browse each artist's website and contact the artist you would like to create the memorial portrait. This is a non-political group. We are artists who would just like to provide a meaningful portrait to grieving families."

Well just recently I was contacted by a coworker of the mother of a fallen soldier. She wanted me to do a portrait of the woman's son in time for Christmas. The soldier's name is Micheal Phillips, and after reading about him I knew I had to do it. Such a great guy and such a sad story.

I feel truly honored to have done this portrait. I couldn't believe that this guy was only 19 when he died. Please read about him here: http://www.militarycity.com/valor/3394729.html
